So does that mean that when we die all those billions of universes and creatures die within us? It possibly could, but think of it this way: Say the Big Bang of our universe was the result of another being coming into existence. Our universe is approximately 13.75 billion years old. If the above is true (that our brains are made up of multiple universes), that would mean that, on that microscopic scale, time moves much faster in comparison to our time. So, following this train of logic, entire generations are dying out in less than milliseconds. Just now, an entire species went extinct, while an entirely new generation was born and died. But to them, the passage of time is like it is to us. So by the time we die, there’s every possibility that their lives have already run their course and their worlds have already ended, and by the time we die they could already be gone. And while we die, it would be a slow, eventual death that they had time to come to terms with. Or they simply blink out of existence. However, this freaks me out for an entirely different reason. Let’s assume this theory is true, just for fun. What if the dreams we have, the ones in a world similar to ours, but that we can manipulate…What if that’s our mind going into one of these microcosms, either popping up randomly in a reality we’ve never been to before, or inhabiting the body of another individual. Think about it. In dreams, you can spend hours or days in a dream (or at least that’s how the passage of time is perceived while in dream mode), while in real life, REM sleep cycles make up approximately 25% of our sleep cycle (so 2-3 hours, depending on how long one sleeps). When you think about the likely passage of time in these other realms, the idea suddenly becomes fairly plausible. And then there’s the idea that we could even move through these dimensions like ghosts, as there’s no guarantee that these worlds are even on the same dimensional plane as we are. Say we’re on a higher dimensional plane. We would appear as shadows, flashes of light and color to these people. They’d have no way of properly seeing us, really, so we may even appear as ghosts to them. (Yet another theory to explain supernatural occurrences on our plane of existence: Extra-dimensional beings moving through our world.) (Apologies for the geek out, I’ve done just a bit too much studying on this subject for my own good.) Holy fuck.
